A 5Km Personal Best - My 8th Running of the Proude's Shoes 5K

It was cloudy and 9 degrees.

The Proude's Shoe 5km in Sherwood. The out and back course on Maple Ave, Ash Drive and Mulberry Park.

David Gallant won the race and Kelly MacDonald for the top female.

I finished in 18:22, beat my 5km personal best of 45 seconds faster than 2008 Deltaware and came in 3rd out of 119 runners.

It was 8th time running the Proude's Shoes 5K from starting the running career.

My boss Em's son Kristopher ran his first ever race. Julia ran her first race at the Bunny Hop.

My 7th Proude's Shoes Run

It was cloud and drizzle and windy and 6 degrees.

The Proude's Shoe Run at Sherwood Mall.

It was 7th time I ran this race. This was the first Roadrunner race I ever ran in 2004.

Connor McGuire won the race and Kara Grant for the top female.

I finished in 21:05 and came in 25th out of 146 runners.

Jamie bought me a Boston Marathon T-Shirt. Thank You Jamie!

Next week I run the Clark's Toyota 5 Miler at Scott's House.

Team Diabetes Spring Thaw 2010

It was cloud and shower and 3 degrees.

The new Team Diabetes Spring Thaw at Cody Banks Arena in Sherwood. The 5Km loop course on Maple Ave, Mt Edward Road, Lilac Ave and Hillside Drive.

Mark McCosham won the race.

I finished in 45:19 and came in 5th.

Rose Murphy-Cheverie have a PB at 10km.

Have fun at Reykjavik Marathon in Iceland in August with Team Diabetes Shelley!

Next week I run at Sporting Intentions Spring Run Off.

Result: 5th place
10K in 45 minutes, 19 seconds

Proudes Shoes 5K 2009


It was cloudy and rain and 11 degrees.

The 6th time I ran the Proudes Shoes 5km. The Proudes Shoes 5K was the first PEI RoadRunner Race I ever ran in 2004.

Connor McGuire won the race and a fast time of 16:19 and Britt Caissie for the top female.

I finished in 20:50 and came in 21st out of 83 runners.

Tomorrow I run the 10km at Polyclinic downtown Charlottetown.

Proudes Shoes 5K

It was sunny for the race start and foggy before and 5 degrees.

The out and back course on Sherwood.

This is my first Roadrunner race ever in 2004.

The whole run with Sean McNeill until the last block.

Thethird best time in 5km of 20:02 beating Deltraware in 2004 by 22 seconds but not quite as fast as Gold Cup Trot in 2004 and the PEI Homecoming Run in 2007. I came in 17th out of 108 runners.

Scott Clark won the race in 17:01 and Roya MacDonald for top female in 19:06.

Scott brought mom a coffee mug and me a poster from Boston Marathon. Thank You Scott!

Tomorrow the Hospice Run in Stratford.

Proudes Shoes 5K Run

"A nice run for all abilities through the streets of Sherwood"


It was 5 degrees cloudly and not windy.

The Proude Shoe 5km Fun Run was the first RoadRunner run I ever ran back in 2004.

Ran best time this year 20:46 and placed 25 out of 101, 10 seconds faster than 2005 on out and back course.

Stanley cheers at last few meters after winning in 15:34 two minutes behind was Samuel Mason.

Top female was Rachael McCarvill at 18:46.

Running on Sunday at Hospice 5K Run in Stratford.
