Another PB! The 36th Annual Dunk River Run


Sunday, July 21st

It was sun and 18 degrees. 

The Dunk River Run at Bedeque Area Recreation Center. The course on Callbeck St, Rayner Rd, Freetown Rd, Mill Rd and Dunk River Rd. 

Mike Mackinnon won the race and Brenda Benson for the top female. I finished in 45:59 and beat my 11.6km time by 2 seconds in 2011 and came in 5th out of 54 runners.

Official Result: 5th out of 54
11.6K (7.22 miles) in 45 minutes, 59 seconds

1st Place - Somerset Festival Fun Run 5K Run


Saturday, July 20th

It was sun and 25 degrees. 

The Somerset Festival Fun Run 5km at Kinkora. The course on Confederation Trail. 

I won the race in 19:01 and came in 1st out of 31 runners. Carol Yampolsky for the top female.

KINKORA – Alex Bain of Oyster Bed Bridge was the top runner in the Somerset Festival Fun Run here on Saturday morning.

Alex Bain won the five-kilometre Somerset Festival Fun Run in Kinkora on Saturday morning. His time was 19 minutes one second (19:01).

Bain completed the five-kilometre course in 19 minutes one second (19:01).

Arnie Johnston finished second overall in 20:58 while Charlie Turner completed the top-three finishers in 21:56.

Carol Yampolsky was the first female to cross the finish line in a time of 26:27. Jenifer Birch (27:07) and Karen Duffy (27:53) rounded out the first three female runners.

A total of 30 runners participated.

10K PB! - The Cox & Palmer 2013


Saturday, July 13th


It was sun and 18 degrees. 

The Cox & Palmer Run at Connaught Square. The course on Old Charlottetown, Victoria Park and Brighton. 

Charles Dixon won the 10km race and Jenn Nicholson for the top female. I finished in 37:41 and beat my 10km PB by 5 seconds in 2011 and came in 4th out of 68 runners. 

Patrick Reid won the 5km race and Madeleine Crowell for the top female.

The Boardwalk Boogie 2013

Saturday, July 3rd

It was sun and 25 degrees. 

The Boardwalk Boogie in Summerside. The course on Summerside boardwalk. 

Andy Roberts won the race and Myriam Cyr for the top female. I finished in 22:33 and came in 3rd out of 61 runners.
