YOUR SUPPORT: Send your messages of support to P.E.I.'s Olympic athletes

YOUR SUPPORT: Send your messages of support

to P.E.I.'s Olympic athletes

This is your place to show your support for P.E.I.'s Olympians: Kara Grant and Jared Connaughton.

This is Grant's second Olympics competing in the modern pentathlon. In Athens in 2004, the Stratford native placed 22nd, and she is looking to improve her performance in Beijing. She's expected to finish in the top 12.

Connaughton is going to the Olympics for the first time, competing in the 200-metre dash and the 4x100-metre relay. The New Haven native set a new meet record in the 200 at a regional USA Track and Field event in Southern California in June. His time of 20.35 seconds was the 24th best time run in the 200 this year. He is heading for the Olympics despite some early training challenges.

Show your support for P.E.I.'s Olympians by posting a message here on CBC's webpage.

EDIT: The Department of Communities, Cultural Affairs and Labour has set up a website (www.gov.pe.ca/go/olympics) where people can go online and post messages of encouragement for the two Island Olympians.
