Cornwall Classic 2013


Saturday, June 22nd

It was sun and few clouds and 17 degrees.

The Cornwall Classic at Cornwall Town Hall. The course on Lowther Dr, John St, Hillside Meadows Dr, Ferry Rd and York Point Rd.

Mike MacKinnon won the 10km race and Jolene Wills for the top female. I finished in 40:04 and came in 7th out of 55 runners.

Ryan Merrett won the 5km race and Madeleine Crowell for the top female.

 Two and a half years ago, we introduced you to Tommy Des Brisay - "The First Fastest Runner".  From Tommy's YouTube Channel:
Tommy is an accomplished athlete with Autism from Ottawa, Canada. He has an Autism Assistance Dog guide, Adel. He trains with the Ottawa Lions. Tommy's PB's are: 1500m 4:23 3000m 9:21 5k- 16:32 10k- 33:54 Half Marathon 1:18:04. A T-20 (Intellectual Disability) Para-Athlete, he's training towards competing at the Paralympic and World level. Tommy's also a Nordic skier, kayaker, rock climber, sailor, horserider, swimmer, canoeist and mountain biker. He loves Disney, YouTube, and Facebook. Tommy could read/type words before he began to speak at age 7, and the subtitles of Disney movies helped him develop language. Tommy inspires through his determination and enthusiasm! The channel "lookyus" allows viewers to appreciate all that a person with Autism has to share with others. Be sure to watch "First Fastest Runner" and "I See a Des Brisay Fly". 10th Annual Deltaware 5K



Saturday, June 15th

It was sun and 13 degrees. 

The DeltaWare Systems 5km Fun Run at Atlantic Technology Centre. The course on Fitzroy St, Brighton Rd, Victoria Park, Haviland St, Water St and Prince St. 

Connor McGuire won the race and Jen Nicholson for the top female. I finished in 17:59 and came in 5th out of 209 runners.

FlyPEI Runway Run 2013

It was cloud and rain and wind and 10 degrees.

The FlyPEI Runway Run at Charlottetown Airport. The Course on runway.

Stanley Chaisson won the race. I finished in 19:24 and came in 4th.

Official Result: 5th out of about 165+
5K in 19 minutes,  24 seconds

PEI College of Piping Run to Montreal 2013

It was sun and cloud and 18 degrees. 

The PEI College of Piping Run to Montreal in Summerside. The course on Water St, Read Dr, Confederation Trail, Fox Trail and MacEwen Rd. 

Leo McCosham won the 10km race and Meghan Clark for the top female. I finished in 44:27 and came in 3rd out of 27 runners. 

Chris McCarthy won the 5km race and Aleatha Pickering for the top female.

PEI Law Enforcement Annual Torch Run for Special Olympics 2013

It was sun and cloud and 8 degrees.

The PEI Law Enforcement Annual Torch Run for Special Olympics at Cavendish Grove. The course on trail and National Park.

Edwin Gillis won the 10km race and Amber MacLeod for the top female. I finished in 42:59 and came in 4th out of 26 runners.

Myriam Cyr won the 5km race and 1st overall. Kent Mill for the top male.

Rural Raiders Run 2013

It was cloud and rain and snow and 2 degrees.

The Rural Raiders Run at Charlottetown Rural High School. The course on Raiders Rd, North River Rd, Skyview Drive, Queen Street, Belvedere Ave and University Ave.

Stanley Chaisson won the 10km race and Maureen Peters for the top female. I finished in 39:35 and came in 7th out of 29 runners.

Madeleine Crowell won the 5km race and 1st overall. Ryan MacRae for the top male.
