Playing the game

Playing the game
Prince Edward Island is prudent to bid for the 2013 XV Island Games. By that date, the province will have played host to the 2009 Canada Summer Games, and would have the facilities and the experience to play host to the Island Games. P.E.I. would be an ideal choice.

Winning the Games would be a big plus for the Island. It would draw athletes, organizers, sponsors and spectators from across the world and give the Island added international exposure. For a province that prides itself as a prime tourism destination, this would be an important marketing advantage. Name recognition is key to success in the tourism industry, and playing host to the 2013 Island Games would be one more way of keeping Prince Edward Island in the forefront.
