Friendship Run for PCH - 2 medals!

It was sunny and 17 degrees.

The Friendship Run for Prince County Hospital at Wilmot Community Centre. The loop course on Water Street, MacEwen Rd, Fox Trail, Confederation Trail and Read Drive.

Mike MacKinnon won the race and Jennifer Pizio-Perry for the top female.

I finished in 38:59 and came in 3rd out of 108 runners. I won a 3rd overall medal and 1st Male 20-29 medal.

SUMMERSIDE – The 11th Annual Friendship Road Race takes place Saturday morning, Sept. 3, starting from the Wilmot Community Centre in Summerside.

The 10-km route takes runners through a scenic loop in Summerside including forested sections of Rotary Friendship Park and part of the Confederation Trail.

The race is a fundraising event for Prince County Hospital Foundation's Equipment Fund. There will be free backpacks for the first 100 runners, new running shoes for the top male and female finishers, awards for various age groups, plus refreshments at the finish line.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. at the Community Centre, and the race starts at 9 a.m. No pre-registration is required and the entry fee is $15.
